Chris is a sassy sailor daylighting as an attorney. He can be most easily defined by his hobbies, which largely consist of choosing modes of transportation that require him to painstakingly propel himself forward for long periods of time.
Chris doesn’t just enjoy suffering, though. He also serves as our family’s CEO (Chief Enjoyment Officer), where he takes his responsibility of cultivating joy and community very seriously.
A certified local yodel, you’ll probably run into Chris at a concert, scooting about on his bicycle, or grabbing a snack with one of his many good buds. He is endlessly curious, perpetually in motion, and, despite the questionable amount of sunscreen involved, an exceptionally good time.
Most importantly, Chris is the kind of person who collects people wherever he goes—and there are a whole lot of us who feel very lucky to call him their friend (including me).

Mel's tenacity is shown daily through her intense crafting sessions and long galavants through the James River Park System. Her diversified investment into travel, art, and new experiences reached maturity and she chose to reclassify Richmond and Chris as her permanent assets. She moves from strength to strength as she locks in on getting a boat project done or finding the perfect outfit at Goodwill. As the family's CFO, she balances our budget, makes sure we're filling all of life's cups, and living la buena vida - responsibly of course!
Engagement: Oktoberfest 2025
Chris surprised Mel in Munich on the Oktoberfest festival ground's ferris wheel. Ever the lucky pair, this picture was captured by the random Chinese couple sharing our cart. Chris proposed with a custom designed ring featuring ornate gold work and a beautiful Montana sapphire.
